Launched in 2021 and created by perfumer Ane Ayo, A Drop d'Issey reimagines the iconic L'Eau d'Issey nearly 30 years after the original, distilled into a single, minimalist floral gesture inspired by the shape of a droplet of water. The opening is soft and creamy, pairing almond milk with a subtle rose facet for a gentle, comforting first impression. The heart blossoms into lilac and orange blossom — a classical spring floral warmed with sunny cheer, avoiding the powdery datedness of older lilac fragrances. The base settles into a smooth ambrox and musk finish, giving the composition a gauzy, skin-like quality that lingers close without ever turning heavy.
On skin, A Drop d'Issey wears soft, luminous, and quietly comforting — a minimalist floral that reveals more character the longer you wear it.
