Launched in 2018 and created by perfumers Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, and Fanny Bal, Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum reimagines the house's legendary 1957 fragrance — originally dedicated to Audrey Hepburn — as a modern floral built on the "thrill of the forbidden." The opening pairs juicy pear with sparkling bergamot, fresh and slightly sweet. The heart is the fragrance's centerpiece: a luminous white floral bouquet of tuberose, orange blossom, and jasmine sambac, opulent without being overwhelming. The base introduces a darker, more mysterious contrast — patchouli, vetiver, and vanilla, anchored by ambroxan, creating tension between light and shadow that gives the fragrance its distinctive character.
On skin, L'Interdit EDP wears as luminous and audacious — sweet, floral, and unmistakably feminine, with just enough earthy depth to keep it from feeling one-dimensional. In Dubai's climate, the pear-bergamot opening feels fresh against the heat, while the patchouli-vetiver base holds its shape well indoors under air conditioning through long days.
